Would you like to be a weather spotter? Sign up for National Weather Service training to be held online

The National Weather Service (NWS) in Springfield, Missouri will be offering four Virtual Storm Spotter Sessions. The virtual training sessions are entirely free and open to new and seasoned spotters alike. Virtual presentations are conducted using the GoToWebinar platform. Click on the registration link below to sign up for a date and time that work best for you! If you cannot make one of these four webinars, a recording will be available on our Youtube page.

Spotter Presentation Details
- Multimedia presentation containing information about identifying and reporting severe weather, spotter safety, severe weather climatology in Missouri and Kansas, thunderstorm structure and threats, and more!
- It runs 60 to 75 minutes in length, is open to the public, and is free of charge. Register using the links above on the schedule.
- Instructors are NWS Meteorologists – Questions are encouraged and welcome!
