Some Missouri businesses will get tips this week to help them thrive and have a vibrant workforce between now and 2030. Nicholas Wyman, the Institute for Workplace Skills and Innovation president, was a keynote speaker at a workforce conference this week. To help with retention, he encourages employers to consider workplace training apprenticeships and a “rock solid” training program to help workers build skills.

Wyman points to a White House report saying that for every dollar a business spends on apprenticeship yields $1.47 in increased productivity.
