Work on Jefferson Begins Today

Contractor crews with the Missouri Department of Transportation will begin a large traffic project in Lebanon Today. Work will be done on Jefferson avenue to improve the driving surface. A second left-turn lane will also be added on the eastbound 129 off-ramp. Bob Lynch, with MoDot, says much of the work will be done during nighttime hours…………

Lynch urges motorists to put down their phones and pay attention when traveling through the work zones. Workers could be present on the roadway during any hour of the day. Lynch also urges motorists to be patient, as the work could disrupt traffic flow. That project is scheduled to be completed by the end of the year, but Lynch says contractors could have it completed considerably sooner.
