Woman charged after found hiding drugs in her pants
A woman from Lake Ozark was arrested on probation violations during a traffic stop on U.S. 54 West on Tuesday. A Camden County Deputy pulled over a vehicle that was traveling in Linn Creek, without registration. When deputy checked on the occupants of the car it was revealed that a passenger identified as Alyssa Smith had active warrants for her arrest. When the officer searched the vehicle they located a backpack which contained a metal cylinder that contained a powder substance. Smith was being transported to jail when she told the deputy that she had a small container in her pants that had cocaine inside. In addition to the active warrants, Alyssa Smith is also charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
