An investigation into a vehicle fire that happened in the 19-thousand block of Dove Road in April has led to charges against a Lebanon woman. An investigator with the State Fire Marshals office was requested by the Laclede County Sheriff’s Office. The vehicle owner gave consent to search the car which was parked at a tow yard in Lebanon and found all of the combustibles in the vehicle had been consumed by the fire. The owner told the fire marshal that he had spoken with his sister, Patricia Covey who admitted to starting the fire in the vehicle and also made threats to burn his house. The vehicle owner claimed thousands of dollars in damage due to the fire. Covey is charged with misdemeanor reckless burning or exploding and was issued a summons to appear in court on June 14th.
