Woman accused of embezzling millions from employer
A Sunrise Beach woman accused of stealing from her employer is facing charges in Camden County. The investigation began on July 19th when Law Enforcement received a call from a business, who said that their employee had been embezzling money from them since 2017. According to court documents, 47 year old Danielle Nicole Thomas is accused of forging around 367 checks amounting to over $2.8-million-dollars. While being questioned, Thomas reportedly said that she stole the money to pay off her credit cards. Thomas was fired from the company, which is only identified as Confidential Business, on July 20th. She is charged with felony stealing and forgery, with a hearing date set for Wednesday, July 26th.
