A band of moderate to heavy snow is expected to track northeast across portions of southwestern Missouri into central Missouri this morning, generally around the Interstate 44 corridor.
Visibilities will also be reduced within any pockets of heavier snow. This band of snow will impact the morning commute. Pockets of freezing drizzle and some sleet showers will also
be possible across far southern Missouri this morning. Some light snow and pockets of freezing drizzle will be possible later this morning into this afternoon at times. Then another
round of light to moderate snow will move into and across the area later this afternoon into this evening. Light snow and pockets of freezing drizzle will remain possible across far southern
Missouri into this evening. The heaviest snow amounts will likely be across central Missouri and within the band further to the southwest. More in the way of freezing drizzle and sleet will occur across far southern Missouri. The snow and pockets of freezing drizzle will likely impact both the morning and evening commutes across much of the area today. Wind chills will drop into the teens to around the ten-degree mark tonight.
