(Fort Leonard Wood)–Williams Early Childhood Center on Fort Leonard Wood will begin serving free meals to students, starting this coming Monday, and continuing through December 18th. Free breakfast will begin being available at 8 a.m. for the morning students and lunch will begin being available at noon for the afternoon students. Partridge and Wood kitchen staff will prepare the meals.“This expansion of free meals to our pre-K students provides our Williams families with one less thing to worry about during this pandemic,” said Dr. Brian Henry, superintendent. “I applaud our Partridge and Wood kitchens for stepping up to make the extra meals that will help students focus on learning.”
Unfortunately, this program will end on December 18th, as the funds are only being provided through the end of the calendar year. Funds for breakfast and lunch meals are being provided through the Summer Food Service Program and the meals are being prepared in partnership with OPAA! Students will eat free meals in their classrooms before school starts. The meals will replace the snacks that students had received.
