Webster County Accident Claims Ava Infant

A female infant from Ava has died after a two-vehicle accident in Webster County. The crash occurred on U.S. Highway 60 in Diggins Monday morning. The Missouri Highway Patrol says the accident occurred at 7:30 Monday morning when a car driven by 23-year-old William B. Lyman of Ava attempted to turn left in front of a pickup driven by 67-year-old Cynthia R. Eure of Mansfield. The pickup struck the Lyman vehicle on the passenger side. The infant was pronounced deceased at 8:34 Monday morning at Cox Hospital in Springfield. Lyman and Eure suffered moderate injuries and were transported to a Springfield Hospital. All involved were wearing safety devices.
