Waynesville Town Hall About New Fort Gate Closure Hours Takes Place Monday Evening

There is a town hall meeting in Waynesville this evening for residents to meet with Fort Leonard Wood officials to listen to explanations why senior Army leadership will be limiting access hours through the West and South gates into the installation. The town hall meeting will be held at the Parker Education Center in Waynesville this evening at 6:30. The town hall will be hosted by the Waynesville-St. Robert area Chamber of Commerce.
A similar town hall was held last Thursday evening in Roby that attracted a couple of hundred of South Gate area citizens.

These town halls come after Fort Wood officials announced that, starting this Thursday, February 1st, the operating hours for the West Gate and South Gate would be shortened. The West Gate would be open only from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. The South Gate would be open only from 4 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
The East Gate already has reduced hours. However, the Main Gate will still be open 24 hours a day seven days a week.
