Waynesville-St. Robert Area Chamber of Commerce annual Route 66 Challenge

Motoring teams take off tomorrow morning to participate in the Waynesville-St. Robert Area Chamber of Commerce annual Route 66 Challenge.
The Challenge pits participating teams against each other but is not a road race. It’s a game of strategy. Competitors will solve clues and take part in tasks to receive points. An “Adventure Envelope” will be given to each team. The envelope will contain a clue and trivia that will reveal a location and lead to further instructions or additional directions. Tempting detours will provide in-game drama. Detours are “mini-adventures that are off the beaten path”. A successful detour can boost a team to the top of the leaderboard. However, a red herring detour can be disastrous. The Route 66 challenge gameboard is 33 miles of Route 66 contained in Pulaski County.
The winning team will receive $150, with an additional $150 given to a selected charity from the Waynesville-St. Robert Chamber for Good program. Additional awards and recognition will be given for Best Team Theme, Best Social Media Team, Give Back Award, and to the team that “Got Kicked on Route 66”.
