Waynesville Schools Receive Special Education Perfect Score

The Waynesville School District received a perfect score from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education in all areas of special education and exceeded the state average for students with individual education plans in 14 out of 15 areas for state testing. This is the third consecutive year for a perfect score.
In addition, the Tiger Joe coffee shop at Waynesville High School, which features commercial grade equipment, has been recognized by DESE as one of the top transition programs. As part of their real-world experiences, students take orders, charge debit credits, track inventory and make coffee as well as deliver it to staff and students.
