Waynesville schools convocation held Monday

If you noticed a long line of cars waiting to turn into the Waynesville High School parking lot around 8 o’clock Monday morning and were wanting to know why they were doing this, it was to attend Convocation – the ceremony marking the beginning of the 2023-24 school year for staff. Also taking part in the event were the WHS Color Guard, WHS Cheer Squad, WHS Tiger Pride Marching Band, WHS Choir, and cadets from the Waynesville Tiger Battalion Armed Exhibition Team and Waynesville Tiger Battalion Unarmed Exhibition Team. The first day of classes in the Waynesville School District will be next Monday, August 21st.
