Waynesville School Tax Survey Results

The Waynesville School District has announced the results of several surveys sent out in December. 400 of those surveys were conducted via telephone, and over 350 were completed online. Superintendent Hillary Bales says according to the results, the public is aware of the need for more preschool options.

Bales also offered a potential solution to the issue, which was also overwhelmingly supported by the community.

To better afford the potential new building, the district can continue to qualify for B-2 funding, which puts federal dollars back into the school system. A very slight majority of 51% believed another tax levee should be placed for the school, to ensure progress is made on those fronts.
