Waynesville School District Once Again Is Building A New House

Work is continuing on a house being built in Waynesville by students at the Waynesville Career Center.

The land has been cleared, and students are now in the process of getting the concrete poured and preparing the framing. Sam Callis, director of the Waynesville Career Center, says the work helps to show the effectiveness of the classes taught at the center.

The new home is located in the neighborhood behind the ARK Community & Sports Center in Waynesville. Callis says it is a convienient location for the build, as students can go out to the site and back during school hours.

This will be the first building trades department house to be constructed in several years by the Waynesville School District.
