122nd District State Representative Bill Hardwick of Waynesville, as outlined in his latest Capitol Report, is highlighting three proposed legislative measures that he is co-sponsoring with fellow representives.
Representative Hardwick is co-sponsoring the Missouri Religious Freedom Protection Act with Representative Alex Riley of Springfield. This legislation would prohibit any state office from issuing any order that would prevent religious groups from holding services or meetings. Hardwick says this would reinforce a major boundary on the power of government in the state.
The Pulaski County State Representative is co-sponsoring Representative Dave Triffith’s resolution to amend the Missouri Constitution. It would, says Hardwick, consider all real property used as a homestead by a military veteran and who has a total service-connected disability to be exempt from taxation.
Since this proposes a change to the state constitution, it would go to a vote by the people if passed by the legislature.
Hardwick and Representative Bennie Cook are co-sponsoring legislation that would make insulin, albuterol, and EpiPens refillable and capable of being prescribed through local pharmacies.
