A Waynesville man has received additional prison time for assaulting a police officer while in the Pulaski County Jail in 2019. Keaven Shaw, who is serving time for the stabbing death in Waynesville of his grandmother, Anna Pahula, was sentenced last week to an additional 15 years in prison for the assault incident. That brings his total prison sentence to 40 years.
According to documents, the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department deputy was struck from behind by Shaw when the officer denied the prisoner’s request to be let out of his cell to do laundry.
