Waynesville Man arraigned on domestic assault and abuse or neglect of a child

A Waynesville man was arraigned in court in Pulaski County on charges of domestic assault and abuse or neglect of a child. 29-year-old Michael James Childress is accused of causing physical injury to his companion by choking her on April 22nd and causing a child less than 18 to suffer physical injury as a result of abuse by throwing the child into the stairs. Judge Colin Long set Michael Childress’s bond at $50,000, ordered him to have no contact with the victims and have GPS monitoring, and do not possess weapons, and set a counsel status hearing, and bond review hearing for April 30th.
