Waynesville Homecoming window decorating contest
(Waynesville)–The 2020 Waynesville High School Homecoming Committee is inviting local businesses in the Waynesville, St. Robert, and Ft. Leonard Wood area to decorate their windows for Homecoming. Each business is asked to decorate one or more window according to the theme and have the windows ready to be judged by Wednesday, September 23rd. The theme for the week is “A Whole New World – Tigers Blazing New Trails”. The Tigers will take on the Hillcrest Hornets on Friday, Sept. 25th, for the 2020 Fall Homecoming game. A small number of students and a faculty member who will be wearing masks will travel to the exterior of all competing businesses to judge the windows on September 23rd. Businesses will be judged from the street and businesses will not be allowed to provide treats and/or samples for the judges. The scoring categories and point values are as follows: Originality 5, Thematic Presence 5, Quality/Craftsmanship 5, Tiger Pride 5, Extra Flare 5. The winners will be announced during the Homecoming football game on Friday, September 25th. If your business places among the top 3 in the window decorating contest, you will be notified prior to the game and up to two names for each of the top 3 businesses will be added to the pass list for the homecoming football game. At the game, you will be instructed where to go for the presentation. To enter, contact Tricia Foster at 573-842-2401.
