Waynesville High Theatre Department and Thespian Troupe 1669 present Tim Kelly’s “Terror by Gaslight,” which is the story of an egotistical doctor of surgery attempting to complete an anatomical museum. To do this he needs subjects for dissection, but the laws of the 1800s only allow the use of corpses from the public gallows, which causes a problem when the doctor is so close to completing his work. Circumventing this, the doctor works with a pair of graverobbers whose greed causes a series of misfortunes both to themselves and to the doctor. All the action culminates into three murders and a twist ending as to the fate of the doctor’s legacy. The play will be performed at 7 p.m. this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and October 29th through the 30th, and at 2:30 p.m. on October 31st. Tickets can be purchased at www.our.show/whs/terror or at the door.
