Waynesville High School sets a new record at West Point
(West Point)–A record five former Waynesville High School students will graduate from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point on June 13th. Having five former WHS students graduate in a single West Point class is believed to be a school record. The five are Hunter Ball, Ashley Wolf, Jon Lowe, Robert Osborn, and Jason Brodeur. In recognition of their upcoming graduation, Waynesville Mayor Luge Hardman presented a coin and letter to Lowe on on Monday. Lowe will deliver coins and letters from Hardman to the other four upon their return to West Point.
In autumn of 2016, a record number of WHS students were attending West Point. They included Devonte Baity, Hunter Ball, Jon Lowe, Mason Reed, Robert Osborn, Adrain Shanahan, Ashley Wolfe, Kimberly Wolfe, and Jason Brodeur.
