Waynesville High School Marching Band took home plenty of 1st place hardware at its most recent competition

The Waynesville High School marching band took home plenty of 1st place hardware at its most recent competition last weekend. On Saturday, the WHS Tiger Pride band placed 1st in the class 5A street competition and 1st in the Class 5A field competition. The band also won the sweepstakes award, which is given to the band with the highest combined total from street and field competitions across all bands. In addition, the band also won 1st place in the indoor color guard and indoor percussion competition. The competition was held at Central Methodist University in Fayette. Director of Bands Jared Sabasso said that the students’ hard work and dedication to the program is paying off.
