Waynesville High School Halo Team finished in 3rd place at the Missouri Scholastic Esports Federation championships last weekend

The Waynesville High School Halo Team finished in 3rd place at the Missouri Scholastic Esports Federation championships last weekend. Facing off against some of the best high school teams in the state, Waynesville dropped just one game to Lee’s Summit North, the team that eventually claimed the championship. Coach Nick Lambert said despite the loss, the team can hold its head high knowing they gave it their all against the best. Halo is a competitive first-person shooter video game series, the most recent release being Halo Infinite in 2021. The WHS Varsity Halo team program is funded in part through grant funding from the Army’s Child, Youth, and School Services for the Army Youth Programs in Your Neighborhood (AYPYN) program.
