(Waynesville)–The Waynesville School District declared on Wednesday that there is a vacancy on the Board of Education that will be filled through the appointment process. There will be an application process to fill the vacant position and complete the open term through the April 2021 School Board Election. The vacancy was created when Janet Crider recently resigned from the school board. The application window for the position is open through 4 p-m on February 5th. Interested patrons may visit the District Administration Building between 7:30 a-m and 4 p-m Monday through Friday to retrieve an application packet. Applications should be completed and returned to the administration building during regular office hours, and no applications will be accepted after 4 p-m on February 5th.
