(Waynesville)–Graduation will be held on June 19th on the Waynesville High School campus and event details, including social distancing guidelines, will be forthcoming.
Due to social distancing guidelines, Honors Night, which was scheduled for June 16th, will be held virtually this year. A video of the event will be published on the WHS Facebook page. Students will be notified of awards and scholarships by the counseling office. Due to the social distancing guidelines, WHS is canceling Prom, which was scheduled for June 13th.
“These have not been easy decisions to make,” says WHS Principal Randy Luebbert. “I understand that our students, especially our seniors, are disappointed and that is why we are making every effort to find a way to safely hold a graduation ceremony.”
