Waynesville Graduation date announced

(Waynesville)–Waynesville High School has announced dates for Graduation, Prom, and Honors Night. Providing social distancing restrictions due to COVID-19 have been lifted by mid-June, the Waynesville Board of Education has set graduation for the W-H-S Class of 2020 on Friday, June 19th, at 7:30 p-m, at Waynesville High School’s Tiger Stadium. Graduation will be moved inside in the event of inclement weather.
Honors Night for the Class of 2020 will be held on Tuesday, June 16th, at 7 p-m, in the Waynesville High School Auditorium. Students are encouraged to wear casual business or business attire, such as a collared shirt, dress pants, skirts, and/or dresses.
The junior-senior prom will be held 8 to 11:30 p-m on Saturday, June 13th, in the Waynesville High School gym.
In the event that social distancing restrictions have not been lifted by mid-June, Honors Night will be held July 16th, and graduation will be held July 18th.
