Waynesville council members voted unanimously to censure Mayor Jerry Brown
After a lengthy special meeting of the city council Thursday night in Waynesville, council members voted unanimously to censure Mayor Jerry Brown. Brown, who was present at the meeting, did not preside over the proceedings as he normally would have. Censuring an official does not mean that person is removed from office. It does put a governing body on record concerning its displeasure toward one of its members for inappropriate behavior or other concern.
