WE WRAP UP OUR VISITS AROUND THE FRISCO LEAGUE FOR OPENING DAY OF THE FALL SEASON FROM THE SCHEDULES ON THE MSHSAA WEBSITE, AND AGAIN AS MENTIONED, THEY ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE….WE ARE STILL 3 WEEK AWAY FROM THE START OF FALL PRACTICE………TODAY, WE’RE AT STOUTLAND AND CHECKING INTO THE OPENING DAY SCHEDULES FOR THE BASEBALL, SOFTBALL AND CROSS COUNTRY TIGERS…..
BOTH THE BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL TEAMS WILL OPEN UP ON THE OPENING DAY, AUGUST 27TH….
THE BASEBALL TIGERS WILL BE AT NEW BLOOMFIELD ON AUGUST 27TH, AT AT VIENNA WITH LINN THE FOLLOWING DAY ON SATURDAY FOR A BONUS DAY…
THE LADY TIGER SOFTBALL TEAM WILL JOIN ANOTHER LOCAL LADY TIGER TEAM THE 27TH AND 28TH AT MARION C. EARLY FOR THE MORRISVILLE TOURNAMENT….
THE OTHER LADY TIGER TEAM IN THIS AFFAIR ARE FROM WAYNESVILLE…
THE CROSS COUNTRY TIGERS SCHEUDLE HAS NOT BEEN SUBMITTED……FOR THOSE WHO MAY VENTURE ONTO THE MEE-SHA WEBSITE AND SEE THE STOUTLAND LADY TIGER CROSS COUNTRY SCHEDULE, IT HAS THEM RUNNING ON FEB. 4TH…..NEEDLESS TO SAY, THAT’S A TYPO….CROSS COUNTRY DOES NOT RUN IN THE LAST FUL MONTH OF WINTER….

WHILE THIS SUMMER WAS SUPPOSED TO A MORE NORMAL SUMMER THAN LAST, AND FOR THE MOST PART IT HAS BEEN, THE WAYNESVILLE FOOTBALL TIGERS HAVE NOT HAD EITHER OF THEIR SCHEDULED 7 ON 7 PASSING CLINICS……ONE WAS CANCELLED BECAUSE OF WEATHER BACK ON JULY 1ST, AND LAST SATURDAY’S CANCELLATION AT COLUMBIA BATTLE WAS DUE TO CAUTION AND COVID PROTOCOL, WITH THE CURRENT SPIKE IN CASES AROUND THE STATE ON THE RISE…..
LAST YEAR, THE TIGERS OPTED OUT OF THE JAMBOREE, THEN GOT QUARENTINED PRIOR TO THE START OF THE SEASON AND DID NOT GET THEIR GAME WITH PARKVIEW RE-SCHEDULED…..
RIGHT NOW, THE GREEN LIGHT IS STILL ON FOR THE EVANGEL UNIVERSITY CAMP THIS FRIDAY FOR THE WAYNESVILLE FOOTBALL TIGERS, AND THE BRANSON CAMP ON THE 28TH…..SO WHAT HAPPENS AT THESE CAMPS IS THE QUESTION I ASKED COACH JOE HAYNES.

blues
A FEW YEARS BACK, NHL TEAMS WERE TOLD BY LEAGUE OFFICIALS, THEY HAD TO LEAVE PLAYERS UNPROTECTED DUE TO THE ENTRY OF THE VEGAS GOLDEN KNIGHTS COMING INTO THE LEAGUE…THEY NEEDED PLAYERS…
THIS OFF SEASON, THEY’LL DO IT AGAIN WITH THE ENTRY OF THE SEATTLE KRAKEN, THE NEWEST ADDITION TO THE NATIONAL HOCKEY LEAGUE….
AFTER BACKSTOPPING THE MONTREAL CANADIENS TO THE STANLEY CUP FINAL, CAREY PRICE HAS BEEN LEFT UNPROTECTED FOR THE SEATTLE KRAKEN EXPANSION DRAFT…THAT WAS ONE SURPRISE..
ANOTHER IS THAT OF ST. LOUIS BLUES WINGER VLADIMIR TARASENKO, JUST TWO YEARS REMOVED FROM HOISTING THE STANLEY CUP….OF COURSE TARASENKO ASKED THE BLUES FOR A TRADE EARLIER THIS MONTH…THINKING THE BLUES COULD GET SOMETHING WORTHY FOR TARASENKO, HIS INJURIES OVER THE LAST SEVERAL YEARS HAVE LIMITED HIS ABILITY TO PERFORM AT THE LEVEL THE BLUES THOUGHT HE WOULD…
CALGARY EXPOSED CAPTAIN AND 2019 NORRIS TROPHY-WINNING DEFENSEMAN MARK GIORDANO. AND CAROLINA SURPRISINGLY MADE FORWARD NINO NIEDERREITER AVAILABLE.
THE LEAGUE RELEASED THE PROTECTED LISTS OF ALL 30 TEAMS ELIGIBLE FOR THE EXPANSION DRAFT SUNDAY MORNING. SEATTLE WILL PICK ONE PLAYER FROM EVERYONE EXCEPT VEGAS — WHICH JUST WENT THROUGH THIS PROCESS IN 2017 — AND ANNOUNCE THOSE SELECTIONS AT THE EXPANSION DRAFT WEDNESDAY NIGHT.
