The City of Waynesville and Pulaski County Commissioners have come to an agreement on the placement of the natural gas line, meter, and shut off valve at the new Pulaski County Jail. The placement will be secure from public access, but allow access to both the city and county for maintenance, as well as the fire department in the case of emergency. In addition, the City has agreed to assist in the placement of the line to the building.
According to Pulaski County, the agreement ensures public safety, as well as minimizing costs to the taxpayers of the City and County. In addition, this will allow the City to serve as the County’s
utility provider at the new jail facility in the long term, which will be a mutually beneficial relationship to both parties and the taxpayers in both entities.
