Watch out for potholes

The thaw after a winter weather event and below freezing temperatures can wreck havoc with Missouri Highways by causing potholes to form. MODOT Area Engineer Danny Roegar says rain and snow seeps into cracks in the pavement, which could lead to potholes.
He said they work to repair potholes on lettered and numbers state highways, but the main focus is on the Interstate Highways
MODOT encourages motorists who see a pothole to contact them at 1-800-ask-modot. You can also utilize the Waze navigation app to report potholes to Modot crews.
