The Walmart Store in Rolla is closed until Saturday morning to allow a third party cleaning crew to thoroughly clean and sanitize the building.
The store was closed at 2 o’ clock this afternoon and will reopen at 7 o’ clock Saturday morning.
When the store reopens Saturday, Walmart says it will continue conducting associate health assessments, and all unvaccinated associates will still wear face coverings.
Walmart is monitoring stores in other locations with low vaccination rates or high Covid transmissions on a case by case basis.
Pulaski County’s Covid infection and vaccination rates are close to Phelps County’s in the latest check of statistics with the Centers For Disease Control and Prevention.
It is very rare for a Walmart store to be closed in a manner like this.
