Voters asked to approve a use tax in Laclede County

On April 7th Laclede County voters will go to the polls and one of the questions on the ballot is the approval of use tax in Laclede County. A use tax is a tax on all out of state purchases and that includes online purchases. Laclede County Presiding Commissioner, Randy Angst gives a definition of the use tax:

Angst says it’s not an additional tax on items purchased in Laclede County but only items purchases online:

Angst says, he knows there has been some confusion on the use tax and he says, he will be happy to explain the use tax that will be on April 7th ballot to anyone who want’s clarification.
