Vietnam Era Veterans Honored

This morning at the Cowan Civic Center in Lebanon, hundreds of individuals attended a special pinning ceremony for the men and women who served during the Vietnam War era. Lebanon Mayor Jared Carr spoke to honor the veterans….

Those who served between November 1955 and 1975 were part of a tumultuous time in history. The guest speaker at the event was Keith Pritchard, Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army Missouri-West. He spoke about whether being drafted or as a volunteer, those who came home were much older that the year they served…

Around 9-million men and women served in the various branches of military during the Vietnam Era……..

During today’s (wed) Ceremony 117 men and women who served during the Vietnam Era received a pin that was presented to them by the AUSA and Friends of the Fort, recognizing them for their service to the United States of America.
