A 42-year-old Versailles man is being held in the Morgan County Jail in Versailles on a $265,000 bond for allegedly firing a gun at several people. The incident occurred on Webb Road when a man attempted to retrieve his truck from David B. Doolin, Jr.’s property. According to the man, Doolin aimed and fired an AR-15-style rifle at him and two other individuals, but fortunately, no one was hit. Morgan County Sheriff’s Deputies subsequently arrested Doolin at his home on Webb Road. The prosecutor has since charged him with several offenses, including Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Armed Criminal Action, Assault, Property Damage, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. Doolin is scheduled for a bond hearing on Tuesday in Morgan County.
