A Miller County kidnapping suspect remains hospitalized for multiple gunshot wounds, after an early morning officer-involved shooting in Eldon, on Wednesday. Officers responded to the call on Leeds Avenue just after 4 am, where David Wallace was allegedly holding two people against their will. According to the call, Wallace was in possession of kitchen knives and gasoline. At the scene, officers were bombarded with softball-sized rocks and sharpened metal objects, in life-threatening actions. A Trooper with the Highway Patrol reportedly raised his service rifle and fired multiple times hitting Wallace, and neutralizing the threat. The officer-involved shooting is under investigation by the Highway Patrol. Wallace remains hospitalized and is facing 2 counts of kidnapping, and 3 counts of assault. When released from the hospital Wallace will be jailed with a bond of a half-million dollars.
