Unofficial Tuesday Election Results

There were just a few issues around the area during Tuesday’s election, which led to light voter turnout. In issues that were unofficially decided on Tuesday, voters in the Richland R-4 School District overwhelmingly rejected a 90-cent tax levy increase over the course of 3 years. That tax levy would have increased pay for staff in the district allowing them to be more competitive with other districts. Voters in the Lake Ozark Fire Protection District rejected a 25-cent tax levy increase. Voters in the Hazelgreen Fire Protection District also rejected a 30-cent tax levy for that district. Voters in St. Robert, Waynesville, and Buffalo approved a three percent sales tax on recreational marijuana. Voters in Dallas County also approved a three percent sales tax on recreational marijuana sold in the county. The only tax increase that passed across the area was a half-cent transportation tax that was approved by voters in Seymour in Webster County.
