Master Gardeners with the University of Missouri Extension will hold an online Core Course providing initial training to become a Missouri Master Gardener. Classes will be held from January 16th through May 31st. Upon completion, Master Gardener volunteers extend knowledge into their own communities. There are local Master Gardener clubs in Rolla and Waynesville. Designed for beginner and advanced gardeners, the online course offers 14 topics specific to Missouri conditions. Tuitions include the 14 classes that can be watched at the convenience of students, including an introduction to faculty and local gardeners, the Core Manual, and other materials. Speakers cover Missouri soils and seasons, vegetables, fruits, flowers, lawns, trees, ornamentals, plant propagation, insects, diseases, and more. Individuals can enroll online through January 14th by visiting extension.missouri.edu/courses, then scroll to Missouri Master Gardener Online Core Training.
