Unfunded projects list for MODOT

The Missouri Department of Transportation on a regular basis has a list of proposed projects that have come from local transportation advisory organizations. Area Engineer Bob Lynch said it’s called the unfunded needs list with is presented to MODOT by planning partners….

Lynch said an example of a project on the unfunded needs list is in the Lebanon area…

Lynch said they held a public meeting in December and presented the list to the Transportation Commission in early January. He said the projects on the list won’t take place until the funding comes available. The increased fuel tax and the Federal Infrastructure Bill funds will allow some of the projects to move up, but many projects, like the alternative to Highway 5 in Lebanon, won’t happen for several years.
