Two weather warnings will soon be in effect for a majority of the KJEL listening area. National Weather Service Meteorologist Justin Titus says the first is a Wind Chill Warning, which runs from noon on Thursday, thru noon on Saturday

The second is a winter storm warning that goes from 6 am Thursday to midnight Thursday night.

Exposure to long periods of this winter weather could quickly lead to hypothermia and frostbite, which according to the CDC kills an average of 13-hundred people per year in the U.S.
