Two UTV’S Stolen
On June 28th at 10:30 am Sunrise Beach Chief Scott Craig responded to Upside Motorsports In Sunrise Beach. The owner reported that two UTV’S were stolen from his property. The next day June 29th at 2:29 am Chief Craig was sitting in a parking lot when he noticed a pickup truck hauling a white stock trailer with no working taillights that matched the suspects vehicle. Craig pulled up behind the truck and saw a UTV in the trailer, and after following it for a little longer Craig turned on his emergency lights and the driver of the pickup truck Ryan Pierceal failed to yield to the lights and increased his speed. After some reckless driving Pierceal truck hit a rock in a field and was arrested. Pierceal showed Craig where the other UTV was. Both UTV’S were damaged and one had $20,000 dollars worth of damages and the other had $15,000. Chief Craig recognized methamphetamine in the other truck that was pulling the other UTV driven by Matthew Goans, and Pierceal and Goans were transported to the Camden County Adult Detention Center. Both have previous criminal history, and Goans is currently on probation.
