Two Laclede County Men Die In Prison On Same Day

For the second time this month, a man from the Lebanon area has died at the Missouri Department of Corrections in Potosi. Authorities say that 43-year-old death row inmate Jesse Driskill died June 12th at the facility. Driskill was convicted of two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of 82-year-old Johnnie Wilson and his 76-year-old wife, Coleen. Driskill was also convicted of sexually assaulting Coleen at the couple’s rural Laclede County home. The Wilsons had just celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary when they interrupted Driskill burglarizing their home in Lebanon in 2010.

No execution date had been set for Driskill.

Also, on June 12th, 33-year-old Shane Norman of Eldridge was found dead at the prison in Potosi. Norman was serving 30 years after pleading guilty to second-degree murder in the death of 33-year-old Nathan Andrew Young, of Webster County, in November of 2020.

The cause of both deaths remain under investigation.
