Two Injured In Wright County Monday Morning Accident

Two people from Norwood suffered injuries following a two-vehicle accident at 9:08 Monday morning on Highway 5, a mile and a half south of Mansfield in Wright County. The Missouri Highway Patrol reports that a vehicle driven by 39-year-old Kristin N. Gray was stopped in the roadway to make a left turn when she was struck in the rear by a pickup driven by 23-year-old Austin A. Norwood. Norwood suffered serious injuries and was flown to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. Gray reported minor injuries and was treated at a local clinic. Gray was wearing a safety device; Norwood was not.
