A Camdenton man is facing multiple charges in connection with an incident in Four Seasons early Sunday morning. Camden County Deputies responded just after 2 am after receiving a 9-1-1 call from a child in a home on Kays Point Road. When deputies arrived they spoke with 35-year-old John Duncan Stoecklein, who said that he and the victim were having a few drinks at a local bar and got into an argument. The victim, who had a large cut on the top of her nose and both eyes beginning to bruise, told officers that Stoecklein had slammed her face into the dashboard of the pickup, as they were driving home. Stoecklein was taken into custody, and allegedly was making threats against the officer. When the officer was reviewing the 9-1-1 tape, Stoecklein could be heard repeatedly telling the child to hang up the phone because he was going to get his mother into trouble. Stoecklein has been charged with domestic assault, tampering with a witness, resisting arrest, and harassment, with a bond of $100-thousand cash or surety.

Earlier the same morning, Camden County Deputies responded to a residence on Restful Lane in Lake Ozark for another domestic assault. At the scene, they found the victim with a ripped shirt and multiple marks on her neck. The victim told officers that she and her boyfriend Paul Owen Borrowman had been arguing, so she asked him to leave and locked him out. Borrowman reportedly went back into the house, tackled her, and began choking her. 68-year-old Paul Owen Borrowman is charged with felony domestic assault and burglary. Borrowman is currently free on bond.
