Two Dead, Lebanon Man Injured in Dallas County Accident

Two Urbana residents are dead, and a Lebanon man is in serious condition following a head-on collision on U.S. Highway 65, four miles north of Buffalo, at 12:30 Tuesday afternoon. The Missouri Highway Patrol reports that a car driven by 19-year-old Ethan A. Howard of Lebanon was attempting to pass a car in the northbound lane of the highway and ran head-on into a car driven by 65-year-old Susan E. McColum of Urbana. McColum and a passenger in her vehicle, 59-year-old Matthew D. Burns of Urbana, were both pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Howard was airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Springfield.
