Twenty-six Waynesville High School musicians have advanced to state competition

Twenty-six Waynesville High School musicians have advanced to state competition as the result of receiving an exemplary rating in the Central District Solo and Ensemble Festival at Lebanon High School last Saturday. WHS students who received an exemplary rating include; Dylan Henderson for his marimba solo…Nicholas Mc Murray, Jennifer Boyd, Chloe Hayes, Tessa Campbell, and Connor Long for their trumpet solos…Nicholas Mc Murray, Kaden Crone, Rikku Carlson, and Kayden Wass for their trombone solos…MacKenzie Colgan and Cassandra Plummer for their clarinet solos…Aiyana Dreadfulwater, Sierra Gard, Jackson Goforth, and Anna Peterson for mixed woodwind quartet…and Olivia Evans, Aidan Seman, Kimber Cade, Ethan Mc Carty, Luke Pollman, Valeria Quintero, Ellyia Bagby, and Dylan Henderson for percussion ensemble. Four WHS choir students also received exemplary ratings last Saturday to get to advance to State. They are Viola Simram, Ammon O’Donnell, Citlali Arzabala and Blaise Moynihan. These students will travel to State on April 29th.
