Tuition Cap Legislation Heard

Legislation that suspends the cap on tuition increases at Missouri public institutions for higher learning has been heard Monday by a House committee in Jefferson City. Excelsior Springs GOP State Representative Doug Richey testifies that this is a way to help universities with issues such as deferred maintenance:

The CPI is the Consumer Price Index. The cap has been in place since 2007 when then-Governor Matt Blunt was in office.
