Tuesday is Election Day

There are a few questions on ballots for Tuesday’s August Special Election,across the region. Two issues are on the ballot in Laclede County and there is only one polling location open and that will be Sleeper United Methodist Church. The questions on the ballot will be proposition KIDS which involves and increase to the Richland R-4 School Tax Levy. Voters in the school district which also includes part of Pulaski County and Camden County will decide on a increase to the Operating Levy by 90 cents per hundred dollars assessed valuation, over a period of three years. In addition to that levy increase, voters in Camden County and Miller County, who live in the Lake Ozark Fire Protection District will decide on a levy increase of not more than 25 cents per hundred dollars assessed valuation. Pulaski County voters who live in St Robert will decide on a 3 percent sales tax on Marijuana, and voters in the City of Waynesville will decide on a 3 percent sales tax on marijuana.

In Dallas County, voters will decide on a county-wide 3 percent sales tax on retail sales of adult use marijuana. Voters in the City of Buffalo will also decide on a 3 percent sales tax on adult use marijuana sold in the city. Voters in Seymour in Webster County will decide on a half cent sales tax for transportation. The polls will open at 6am and close at 7pm.
