The Troop I area of the Missouri State Highway Patrol will get two recent graduates from the Highway Patrol Academy in Jefferson City.
The new troopers include Alex C. Philipps of Jackson, Missouri, who will be assigned to Zone 4, which takes in Pulaski and Maries Counties. Trooper Philipps is a 2016 graduate of Jackson High School. He continued his education at the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice.
The other new trooper–Keaton P. Hunt of Rolla–will be assigned to Zone 1, which takes in Phelps and Maries Counties.
Trooper Hunt is a 2013 graduate of Rolla High School. He continued his education at Drury University in Springfield, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice and psychology.
