For the first time in 20 years, Triple-A will not be venturing an estimate due to the COVID-19 outbreak. “With social distancing guidelines still in practice,” a Triple-A Travel senior vice president said, “this holiday weekend’s travel volume is likely to set a record low.” According to Triple-A, Memorial Day 2009 currently holds the record for the lowest travel volume in recent history at nearly 31-million travelers, more than 26-million of whom traveled by motorized vehicles.
