Trial Date Set For Bauman

26th Circuit Judge Kenneth Hayden has set aside five days for the trial of a woman accused of trying to hire a hitman to kill her ex-mother-in-law. Prosecutors charged Leigh Ann Bauman in March with conspiracy to commit murder. The 43-year old Bauman of Lake Ozark believed her former mother-in-law was interfering with her relationship with her children and agreed to pay $1,500 to have her killed and make the death “look like an accident.” The jury trial is scheduled for May 23rd through May 27th in Camden County. A Pre-trial conference is scheduled for March 9th. If convicted, Bauman could face up to ten years in prison.
